Garth Brooks Highmark Stadium Music Concert: Your Best Parking Options

Updated: Aug 18, 2022

Country music fans across the nation are gearing up for one of the biggest country concerts of the year. On July 23rd, Garth Brooks will take the stage at the Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York. This will be Brooks' first concert in the stadium and fans are expected to travel from all over to see him perform.

A must-attend event

Garth Brooks is a legendary figure in the world of country music. He has been entertaining audiences for over three decades and is one of the best-selling artists of all time. Brooks is known for his high-energy live performances and his ability to connect with his fans.

A once-in-a-lifetime performer, Garth Brooks knows his way around a stage and always puts on a great show. If you're a fan of country music, then you owe it to yourself to see Garth Brooks in concert. You won't be disappointed.

Parking in Highmark Stadium

Previously known as the Ralph Wilson Stadium, Highmark Stadium is a multi-purpose outdoor stadium located in Orchard Park, New York. The stadium is the home of the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). Opened in 1973, Highmark Stadium has a capacity of 71,870 people.

Naturally, given its large size and location, parking for Highmark Stadium can be a bit of a challenge. Coupled with the fact that Garth Brooks is expected to draw a large crowd, finding a parking spot could be a nightmare.

Luckily for you, we're here to help. Here are some parking options you can consider:

On-site parking

The stadium offers on-site parking for a fee. Parking passes can be purchased in advance or on the day of the event.

Parking is typically $40 per vehicle, cash only. The parking rates for events, however, can vary depending on the day of purchase and service. All the lots are available four hours before game time and close one hour after the end of the game.

The stadium prohibits visitors from saving or reserving parking spots for other people. Also, parking in an undesignated space can attract parking tickets, and your vehicle can even be towed.

Tailgating is always an option if you plan to attend the concert early. A tradition in the stadium, tailgating allows you to socialize with other fans and enjoy some pre-concert festivities. You can set up in one of the many lots near the stadium and enjoy some food and drinks with friends before the show.

The problem, though, is that parking for tailgating buses and limousines can be a bit expensive.

Tailgating buses and limousines must pay $350. And if your limousine accommodates 11 people or less, you may park it for $150. Non-tailgating buses also have to pay $150.

To purchase a tailgating package you need to contact the Buffalo Bills ticket office in advance.

An alternative to on-site parking is to find a spot in one of the many private lots near the stadium. This will likely be cheaper than on-site parking, but you may have to walk a bit further. Two options you might want to consider include:

Big Tree Lot

Big Tree Lot is only 8 minutes away from the stadium. It's on the south side of Big Tree Road, between Abbott Road and Stadium Lot 1's entrance. The lot has been partially cleared and partially wooded to create a park-like environment, making it an ideal parking lot for tailgating.

If you're looking to use this lot when attending the concert, you can use the Smarking app to get an affordable rate – you don't need to pay upwards of $40 to access the stadium. And even better, if you're looking to visit the area more times, you can save even more money by choosing the flexible 10-day pass.

SUNY Erie Community College - South Campus

This is a great option if you don't mind walking a little further. The stadium is only about a 17-minute walk from the college. SUNY Erie Community College - South Campus is located at 4041 Southwestern Boulevard, Orchard Park.

There are a few things to keep in mind when parking at SUNY Erie Community College - South Campus. Its hours of operation are Monday-Saturday, and you have a choice of two options:

Student Parking Lot A

  • 45 Oak Street

  • Open on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Student Parking Lot B

  • 175 Swan Street

  • Open on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Whether you're looking to use the college's parking lot or the Big tree lot, you can use Smarking to reserve a convenient parking spot ahead of time. By using our app, you'll avoid the hassle of having to find somewhere to park on the day of the event. You can get to your seat just in time for the concert to start, without having to worry about where you left your car.
